The Forgiveness Myth
We love to say, "I’ll forgive, but I won’t forget." We treat forgiveness like a reward that people have to earn—but since when was grace a merit-based system?
In this episode, we’re tearing down the walls of "conditional forgiveness." We explore why forgiveness is a non-negotiable command for your freedom, while reconciliation is a separate journey that requires two people. If you’ve been waiting for an apology before you let go of the bitterness, this conversation is for you.
Who am I? Who does God say I am?
"Who am I?" is the hardest question you'll ever answer. We think we know ourselves, until life proves we don't. In Season 3, Episode 4, we’re stripping away the labels and looking at identity through a Biblical lens. We’re diving deep into why "knowing yourself" is a trap, and why knowing whose you are is the key to purpose. In fact, we’re continuing Season 3 with the one question that changes your daily life: What does it mean to be a child of God?
Breakaway and Conquer
Do you ever find yourself progressing in an area in your spiritual walk to then find yourself messing up in the same exact way you thought you were finally conquering? It's as if no matter the effort put forth success eludes you. I'm not sure if you have felt like that before, but I can tell you that I have absolutely felt this struggle and frustration. For a time in my life, it felt as though I would just never master this one area and I always found myself reverting right back to what I thought I had already conquered. What did I do to finally overcome? In this episode of breakaway I talk about this frustrating struggle, but more than discussing the struggle, I share how I finally conquered and moved forward! Listen today! Breakaway and finally conquer whats been conquering you!
The Power of Creating Margin
What do you do when life's demands continuously grow? How do you handle the ever growing to do list? Do you find yourself constantly doing yet feeling depleted or unsuccessful despite your success? Life has a way of running away with us while sticking us on autopilot so that we are constantly chasing the next task but never pausing to enjoy the accomplishments. If we are not careful, we find ourselves doing a lot but never being content or satisfied. However, God sets a great example in Genesis 1 for us to follow when He pauses to reflect on His creation. We also see Jesus model this great life principle as he steps out of the busy things of life to simply be in prayer with the Father. In this podcast episode, I reflect on God's example and Jesus' model of pausing while I reflect on how I have both failed and made attempts to succeed at pausing and creating margin. Listen today and challenge yourself to create margin!
Breaking Points A conversation between Liz and Cindy Roach, one of ZAP’s directors.
In this episode, Cindy Roach, Zealously Achieving Purpose Board Director and Secretary, and I sit to discuss the breaking points that lead to the awareness to the need for breakaway in our lives. We spend time transparently discussing faith, healing, and growth in our lives and how breakaway has helped us in our walk with Christ.
